David Huffman serves as Lead Pastor of Redeemer30a, and has since 2015. After coming to Christ at a young age (7) through the ministry of godly parents and his local church, David was encouraged in his calling into ministry by consecutive mentors in his life. Originally from Spokane WA, the Lord has taken him all over the world (46 countries) to diverse contexts and multiple churches in order to share the gospel and preach the Word of God.
He earned his degree in Biblical Studies (BA) from Moody Bible Institute, and his Masters of Divinity (MDiv) from George Fox Seminary. And he is currently in the final stages of earning his Doctorate (DMin) from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary.
David has spent the past 20 years in full-time ministry, working in various capacities including global missions, para-church ministries, and more. However his passion has been serving the local church, which is the visible expression of the global body of believers. He is particularly passionate about biblical exposition, apologetics, theology and church polity. He believes the church's foundation should be built on the gospel of Jesus and the proclamation of the Word. At R30a, though he operates as the Lead Pastor he serves as one member on the board of plural elders. His responsibilities include overseeing Preaching, Vision, Leadership, & Culture.
Outside of the pulpit, pastor David enjoys going to the beach at sunset with his family, watching Gonzaga Basketball, playing chess, and reading/listening to theological content. During the week you will likely bump into him at the baseball fields watching his kids play on various teams. He is married to Haylee (who also holds an MDiv degree, & is skilled at hermeneutics and biblical theology). Together they are the parents of Asher (12), Hattie-Grace (9), & Augustine (4).
